course
Agentic engineering fundamentals for Project Managers and Business Analysts
Apply Claude in your daily project management and business analysis workflows.
Description
This training shows how to put Claude to work for project management and business analysis. You work in a realistic project environment and learn how AI can help with processing requirements, building backlogs, prototyping screens, and generating project status reports.
Along the way you use Claude across its main tools - Chat, Cowork, and Design - and learn when to reach for which. You customize Claude with Projects and Skills, and connect it to your real tools through MCP connectors that read from and write to issue trackers and wikis.
A central use case takes you from raw, unstructured inputs (stakeholder interview, workshop notes, conflicting email thread) to an estimated backlog that is synced into the tracker, with acceptance criteria refined for the top stories. You then calibrate those estimates against your team's delivery history, so story points are anchored to what comparable work actually took instead of guesswork. A second use case generates a live, multi-audience project status report that pulls live data straight from your tracker, with one control to switch between a steering-committee one-pager, a team digest, and a stakeholder email - no re-prompting needed. Because the artifact pulls live data, re-opening it reflects the current state of the tracker.
The day closes by translating what you learned to the stacks you actually use at work (Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence) by swapping the MCP connector. The focus throughout is on concrete workflows you can apply on Monday morning.
