Making complex matters understandable, that’s what I find incredibly interesting. In my work as a consultant, I visit various clients in different sectors, and one thing strikes me time and time again: how easy it is to make a problem incredibly complex. The challenge is to reduce that complexity as much as possible, so that we can talk about things that we understand with each other again.

And that’s also what appeals to me about teaching: it can sometimes seem very complicated and overwhelming, but how can we ultimately make it understandable again? I enjoy it when that succeeds!

I mainly teach subjects related to Java and the Java ecosystem. Additionally, I provide training on solution architecture. I am also active in the global Java community. As a frequent speaker and conference attendee, I enjoy incorporating the latest ideas and trends into my classes.

Aside from my work, I really enjoy cooking, making music, and photography.
