Hello, I am Josquin Booij.

I have been working in IT since 1996. My specialization is database and data warehouse technology. For almost 30 years, I have been working with databases such as Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server. Improving performance, in particular, is my greatest passion. In addition to databases, I also work a lot with data warehouse solutions. In recent years, I have also worked with Synapse Spark pools and DataBricks.

I try to share a lot of hands-on experiences in my training sessions, so that not only theory but also practice is covered. Currently, I work at Managed Services in the data team. We focus on managing databases and data warehouses for a large number of clients.

My hobbies are swimming and sauna. In my younger years, I practiced athletics, especially the 100 and 200 meter sprint events.
