Jan Peter ten Berge

I’m JP, a trainer at the Knowledgecenter of Info Support. I started as a consultant, creating web applications in .NET for the healthcare market. After three years, I decided to try sharing my knowledge and experience by providing training sessions. At that time, it seemed like a fun and challenging variation in technical depth, but now ten years have passed and I still find it remarkably enjoyable. The combination of technology and social interaction keeps my workdays enjoyable, interesting, diverse, and challenging.

I try to approach my training sessions in a way that I would personally enjoy attending. I hardly use any slides and do as many live demonstrations as possible. Seeing code being built and developed “lives” more than showing slide after slide, in my experience. Hence why terms like “Death by PowerPoint” have come to exist. This didactic style naturally allows for interaction and input from the audience, which I also like to encourage.

My specialties are web and .NET development, and on the side, I also dabble in Java. Outside of work, I enjoy playing pool (Pool billiards), gaming, and various card games.
