Hanno Embregts

I am Hanno Embregts, and in my work there are two things that I like the most. Firstly, the creative nature of my work – first there is nothing, and then you program behavior and it exists! Secondly, telling a story to a group of people. I find it a challenge to deliver that story in an interesting and entertaining way, while having a lot of interaction with the group. Teaching gives me the opportunity to combine these two aspects, and that’s why I enjoy doing it.

In addition to my work as a teacher, I am active as a software architect and lead developer. I also spend time in the (inter)national Java community as a speaker, so you will often find me at conferences and meetups.

When I don’t have a computer nearby, I like to spend time making music in various bands and orchestras (mainly flute, guitar, and singing)
