Gert Jan Timmerman

I am Gert Jan Timmerman and I find teaching is the best thing there is. I have been in front of the classroom for over 35 years, first in a secondary school, then at the HBO and now for 29 years at Info Support. Besides teaching, I also love programming in various languages: C, C++, Java, C#, and Python are the languages I am most involved with. I teach in areas such as Cryptography, Multithreading, ORMs, Architecture, Design, and of course also in Cloud Development.

What I enjoy about teaching is making complex concepts clear to students by exposing their structure: giving students insight into something that would have been more difficult for them to understand without my explanation.

In my free time, I enjoy playing bridge and to go on holidays, I like to Scuba dive.
